1. Setup a separate email address for your surveys if possible.

5. Be sure to include all companies that pay in cash or points that can be turned into cash first.
6. Sift through the surveys you receive and answer the ones that either pay cash or points that can be turned into cash first.
7. I would do the sweepstakes entries as extra time allows.

My business is created around fun and yet I didn't realize that I was still holding back. I wasn't paying attention to those inner messages saying,"... really create this the way you want it," because I thought that's what I had done.

I finally GOT IT one day after I figured out how to market my business and have FUN at the same time. Here is an example from one part of my business. See if this rings true for you.

After creating my first exciting marketing program new ideas began springing up. I told a friend, I wanted to create additional "fun" programs but kept getting stuck. She said, "You like brainstorming, it's part of everything you do, create a single program around that." So I did. I thoroughly enjoy having brainstorming groups, and have received some great results and feedback, but after a while I felt like something was missing -- something I was ignoring. I discovered what I really wanted to do was take this monthly program and turn it into not just a quarterly program, but an EVENT! Each event had to have an environment that really meant something to me. It might have been something I enjoyed as a kid or now as an adult.

What happens when you start paying attention to those wonderful times in your past or what you really enjoy today and integrate them into your business? You create magnificent, FUN, inviting programs. If you've been following your business path, doing what you love, how can it get any better? By looking deeper inside and paying attention to those inner messages.

You begin like this. Simply start writing down those experiences or environments that bring warmth, giggles or excitement to your heart from childhood to now. Think back to what you really enjoyed as a kid. Maybe it was books, a love for animals, or those magnificent salt-water fish in your aquarium. What puts that smile on your face when you think of something you have enjoyed from your past or in the present? How exciting would it be to combine that special environment with a program you created?

Here are a few examples.

Things I enjoyed as a kid: boating, riding the train to my grandparents Things I enjoy now: hot tea in the afternoon, high tea, and a cabin in the woods

One of my programs is now integrating all of these things with separate events. One event will take to the rails on a train similar to the one I rode to my grandparent's house when I was a child. It will also be in my favorite time of year. I'm so excited I can barely stay focused on my daily routine and my energy feels like a giddy kid. Another event will combine with an afternoon tea.

Here's a bonus. By offering what you enjoy -- it becomes your BRAND. Do I want to be known as the Chief Executive Kid of business and marketing fun? YOU BET! How do you want to be known?

Okay, it's now time for the next installment of... "6 POWERFUL VRE(Virtual Real Estate) Business Models You Can Start Building In 2006 Using Google Adsense" series.

By now you should have a good idea of what Virtual Real Estate is and why it's to your benefit that you start a network of your own VRE sites depending on the model you choose.

In the last installment of this series I covered "Article Directories".

In this part of the VRE series I'm going to cover "Web Directories" in general and then give you some examples of what they might be and look like.

VRE Model #2. Web Directories.

An "Web Directory" is simply a directory on the World Wide Web that specializes in linking to other web sites and categorizing those links. Web Directory owners will often allow site owners to submit their site for inclusion. Then human editors will review their submission and if accepted, will be added to their database.

The one thing about Web Directories is they are often used as part of a website marketing strategy for being indexed in the major search engines like Yahoo!, Google, MSN to name a few.

The main strategy behind someone submitting there website to a directory is that a new site needs to quickly build inbound links from reputable sources. In doing this they will get a higher ranking within search engine results under there target keywords depending on the PR(popularity ranking) of that directory or inbound link.

That's the basic run-down of what an Web Directories purpose is and why they make a great VRE business model.

Web Directories can be and target anything you want them to. It's your directory, so you make the decision as to what it is about.

As your directory grows, so will its traffic.

And if you have targeted affiliate programs strategically placed on your directory along side your Google Adsense code, you could be making a nice, steady income form your directory like many others are right now.

Now... as I said at the beginning of this article I would give you some examples of some Web Directories with Google Adsense so you see for yourself whether or not this is something you want to venture into.

They may be a great help in inspiring you for content ideas, different slants and perspectives. The old song, "Anything you can do, I can do better," comes to mind.

2. Ask readers to comment on your blog. In fact, each time you post something, ask them a question. Then spell it out to them on how to post a comment because your readers will probably need to be educated or at least encouraged to comment. ("Click on the comment link in the footer of this post, and leave your responses.")

Sometimes readers will need assurances of privacy, in which case, you can ask them to email you their questions or comments in private. Others are not worried about privacy because after all, a blog isn't meant to be private. However, readers can be shy about commenting, and need encouragement.

You may also encourage them to respond by telling them that you would like to use their replies in your book, but will only do so with their permission.

3. Survey your readers, do a mini-study on their preferences, their experiences, etc. The Internet is the fastest way to acquire some statistics of readers' preferences. Far from being a scientifically validated study that would pass muster in universities with academicians, an informal survey can give you ideas and material to write about. It can also confirm that you are addressing the concerns of your readers.

4. Run a contest for the best idea, funniest experience, most influential or heart-grabbing situation. If you want to use these readers' responses for content in your book, you should tell them. Many people jump at the chance to be included in a book. Others may prefer to participate anonymously. You can give them both options.

These can be sold, or given away as marketing materials for your book.

6. Use your blog site meter stats to examine what are the most popular articles posted. This information will guide you to expand on the topics and subtopics that capture the interests of readers.

7. Consistently reconnect with your passion, and ignite and inspire others with similar interests. After you've been blogging for awhile, you will probably develop good blogging habits:

a. Write something on your blog daily, or at least 2-3 times a week.

b. Read other blogs 2-3 times a week. Be sure to use the My Yahoo or other RSS feed buttons to subscribe to your favorite blogs, or sign up to get email updates through a FeedBlitz service on each blog.

c. Write with your readers in mind. And if you're not sure where their interests lie, ask them. If they've found your blog, and have subscribed, chances are you share a lot in common.

d. If you ever fall into blog-block, reconnect with your core purpose for the blog (remember, the one you wrote out before starting your blog?). When this happens there is usually a reason, although it may not be clear to you at the time. This will pass. You can help it along by asking questions – of your readers, yourself, your closest allies.

8. Podcasting – Create audio files easily by scheduling teleclasses and recording them. Some people like to get their information auditorily and at their convenience by downloading mp3 files to their iPods.

4. Make a list of the type of submission sites appropriate for your article.  I use EzineAnnouncer to collect and keep track of my submission list and I always write down the categories that are a match for my article.  My latest submission qualified for more than 400 sites but your success depends upon your article topic.
5. Begin submitting to sites that accept articles by e-mail. Never send an attachment unless asked.  Incorporate the entire article into the e-mail and include an option for the recipient to opt-out of your list.
6. Your next step should be to sign-up for all new submission sites on your list that require registration.  Typically, you have to wait for a confirmation e-mail before submitting.  You can move on to the next step while you wait.
7. Submit to all sites you have registered for and to all sites not needing registration but offering a submission form.
8. Check your e-mail, confirm your new accounts and visit those sites to add your article.  Keep track of your login and password for each site.
9. Update your submission list by removing or correcting bounced e-mail addresses and URL errors.  You will also need to add your new submission sites to your list.
10. Create a report to keep on your computer with the name and URL of the sites you used for submission.  Update this list when you submit your older articles to newly discovered sites.
Create your own submission process by building on the steps I have provided and you will find your submissions taking less time while helping you to become more organized.
